History | Construction

In 1930, the royal chamberlain Gösta Tholin in Stockholm commissioned the engineer Knut Lyundberg to realise his childhood dream.

An 18.40 metre long and only 3.20 metre wide motorboat, suitable for the archipelago, for travelling the countries of the Baltic Sea with his family. Helsingfors, Tallinn, Riga, Gdansk and Kiel, equipped with the most modern engine of its time, the Aida was the proud ambassador of the Swedish royals in the Baltic countries. There was even a copper Boller stove in the aft cabin to keep out the cold Nordic nights.

She is now anchored in her purpose-built pier at the Abion Villa and has become a true Berliner. The captains show guests on the Nordic archipelago ship the metropolis of Berlin from its most beautiful side - the water.
