Anniversary Cuisine
"Alpine 10" – Our exclusive anniversary cocktail
To mark the 10th anniversary of the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, we are celebrating with a very special signature drink: "Alpine 10" – a cocktail that combines elegance, alpine freshness and history in one glass.
This sophisticated creation combines the aromatic notes of Swiss gin with fresh mountain herb syrup, refreshing lemon juice and a hint of elderflower. The taste experience is rounded off with sparkling Prosecco, which adds a tingling lightness. As a festive highlight, a fine powdered sugar "Alpine 10" adorns the drink – an elegant tribute to our tradition and the special moments we have been able to share with you.
Now let's enjoy ourselves and raise a glass together: to 10 years of flavour, hospitality and Davos joie de vivre.
Anniversary dessert: chocolate variation
Celebrate a decade of AMERON Davos with us. Velvety soft brownie meets creamy ice cream, refined with silky ganache. Fresh persimmon adds a fruity elegance, crispy crumble provides the perfect bite, and an intense coulis harmoniously rounds off the experience. A dessert that evokes memories – and creates new ones.
History
On the 10th anniversary of the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, we look back on its history. Opened in 2015 as the second Althoff Hotels property in Switzerland, our modern resort combines Davos tradition with contemporary architecture and warm hospitality. Built on a historic site, the Symondpark area, where the Dutch asthma clinic once stood, it is a place of healing and relaxation.
For decades, Davos was a sanatorium stronghold with more than 50 sanatoriums and health resorts. Famous personalities such as Thomas Mann and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner found relaxation and inspiration here: Kirchner created works of international significance, while Mann made Davos the setting for his novel “Der Zauberberg” (The Magic Mountain) – aptly put: "Ja, es ist eine berühmte Luft" (Yes, it is famous air). The legendary spa doctors Spengler and Turban contributed significantly to making altitude therapy known worldwide and shaped the health image of the town.
This special Davos atmosphere – clear mountain air, tranquillity and vastness – can still be felt today. Many loyal regular guests return to the AMERON Davos year after year to recharge their batteries, enjoy nature and find peace and quiet. We are grateful to be part of this vibrant cultural and health history and look forward to welcoming guests to our resort for many years to come. Come and experience what our hotel and the impressive Alpine surroundings have to offer!
